Subjective Moment

Time is subjective to our perceptions and our experiences of it in each moment: It moves too slow, or it goes too fast; we don’t have enough of it, or we still have some left… or, we’re all out of it. Whatever we’re experiencing at any given moment, time is either our friend, or our foe.  Interesting, isn’t it?

What would happen if we just stopped living from a linear perspective – if we literally just took life moment by moment instead of trying to plan everything? Imagine the effect that would have on stress levels. Taking each moment as it comes, dealing only with that moment… The impact would be mind-blowing. I could do that; after all, I have nothing to lose but time. And since time is finite only in the human experience, it doesn’t really matter.

Wow. Such thoughts so early on a Saturday morning…
